Career & College Education

The Career & College Education Program is a unique and practical series of courses offered to sophomores and juniors as they prepare themselves for the world ahead.

As sophomores, students will be prepared for the working world as they develop a résumé and begin researching the fields that they are interested in pursuing.  In addition, students will take a variety of skill and personality assessments to identify potential fields of study based on the results of those tests.  Students will also be required to complete a job shadow project.

As juniors, students will focus on preparing themselves for the college application process.  In-depth instruction regarding résumé creation, essay and personal statement writing, and answering application questions will be provided.  Students will be introduced to the Naviance program, which serves as a portal for applications.  Students will also be trained on how to properly interview, with the culminating project being a two-stage mock interview.
