High School Placement Test

All current 8th grade students who wish to apply to Bishop George Ahr High School for the 2018-19 school year must take the High School Placement Test (HSPT), as it is a requirement for admission.

Information for the HSPT for the Class of 2022:

  • November 20, 2017
  • Test begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.
  • Students should report to the Main Lobby no later than 7:45 a.m.
  • Test will end at approximately 11:30 a.m.

It is recommended that all students taking the test be well-rested and have eaten breakfast beforehand.

The exam will evaluate a student's basic skills in reading, writing and mathematics.

On the day of the test, students are required to bring:

  • Two #2 sharpened pencils with erasers
  • Testing fee of $75.00 - cash or check made payable to Bishop George Ahr H.S.

International students will also need to present a valid passport, and have all contact information for their host parents with them.  This includes:

  • Full names
  • Address
  • Phone numbers

Please note that calculators, dictionaries, translators and any other applicable electronic devices are not permitted.

If your child has an Individual Educational / Service Plan (IEP / ISP or a 504 plan), a complete copy of this plan, including all psychological test results and accommodations, must be submitted to the Counseling Department as soon as possible, but before the test date.
